Has any one put the Autoloc remote starter (or any other) on their car. I was thinking about putting one. Any suggestions?

well I have an excalabur 1800 gold with auto start, trunk pop, and windows down which I like

 

do they have remote start for an 5 speed maxima im itrested in one which one is good email me thanks

 

alot of people can do a remore start in a 5 speed, the hard part is just finding the person that will actually do a 5 speed remore start since it is sorta tricky.

 

Ok, I was looking at the Autoloc Remote starter, since I didn't want to add any extra alarm to the car. Has any one actually installed one? Or any one with instructions on how to set one up as a single module. (something that adds to the car's original alarm?)

Also, Has any one with a remote started had any problem with their actual starter? A friend of mine had one and had to change his starter twice. Maybe they didn't install it right.

I'm not sure about the brand you are suggesting, but I have an AutoPage on mine. Not the best alarm out there, but much better than factory.

No, you will not experience problems with the starter due to the alarm. The alarm only triggers the car to start, the rest is up to the car. If your starter is in good working order, the alarm will not put any more strain on it than you getting in and turning the key.

My advice would be to take it to a reputable dealer and have them do the install. If you are determined to do it yourself, you should be able to have all the pertinent instructions to do it in the alarms manual.
