I havent taken the TL-S to the track yet, b/c I first wanna take my not so stock SHO 1st . If I run slicks i'm planning on running at least high 14's, just because it will be my 1st time going. And from what I have read online my 260HP TL-S only runs 14.8 stock, but comptech headers change that eaisly .

 

not quite bud.....bone stock my 97 5-speed was dead even with my buddies CL Type S.....now with no juice I destroy him...

 

Lets see if you say the same when the comptech supercharger is out for all J-series engines including my 3.2L VTEC .

 

Vs. my current 100-shot??? Or the single turbo kit that I'm doing in the fall??

 

So what is the danger of running slicks on the street?

If you hit any liquid you will have no traction, they have soft sidewalls so you cant corner at more than like 5 mph, they are very very illegal, and they will wear out very very quickly. I think that covers everything.

 

Well said Nealoc187. When you reach the end of the track and have to turn I really have to slow down to like 5 mph like you said. When I am coming back down the return lane it is very difficult to keep it on the road, it weaves all over the place because the surface is a little uneven. That coupled with the fact I run 12 psi doesn't make for a good street tire.
