Trunk doesn't "pop up" anymore.
there used to be a time wherne I'd hit the button and the trunk would ope up a little. Now it doesnt even crack open, I have to give it a nice pull. Alomsot like its stuck to something? anyon have that happen? I was rear ended once but that was a very minor collision and I didn't notce that effect right away.

Does it still make the "clunk" sound as though it has tripped the lock when you press the button?
Mine did this once. It made the "clunk" sound but the trunk didn't pop up.
Let me know if this is your case and I'll go look at mine to see how I fixed it. Easy fix if it's the same problem.

Try messing with the latch where the trunk meets the body, open the trunk and look insude right where the 2 'mate', like the center of the trunk under where the hamburger is, and loosen it, move to the left right, up down, fondle it and you should get it.

Good point - check to make sure nothing is jammed in it first.
I looked at mine to refresh my memory. The latch assembly located at the bumper was slightly out of alignment. As stated above, I just had to fondle/finger it back into the correct position. It doesn't take much. Make sure the two screws are tight as well.

WEll I tried this today. Still doesnt worrk. It seems that even when it is free from the latch it still doens't have the "spring" to it are there torsion springs or shocks in the back tha tcan be adjusted? Does the trunk have to be balanced or counterbalenced when you add a spoiler? any ideas folks?

I'm under the assumption that most of yawl have GXE's and are talking about the "pull" type lever for the trunk. I've got an SE with the button solenoid type. The remote works fine when used to open the trunk, but the button on the driver's side door has never worked ever since I bought the 95 Max two years ago. I'm pretty sure the switch in the door is bad. It's not the fuse, already tested it. Anybody ever had this problem? Anybody ever replaced that switch in the door? Expensive? Thanks guys.
