Recently found a '98 SE near me. I wasn't planning on buying until the Spring, but this sounds too good! Mind you, I haven't seen the car yet, but. . .

Anyway, 98 SE, 27k miles, 5 speed, leather, moonroof. . . Says CD/cassette/AM/FM with 6 way speakers (Does that imply the Bose system? I'm new to this!) Anyway, it SOUNDS great, but like I said, haven't seen it yet.

Price is $13900 OBO. Is this TOO cheap?

Whenever I sell a car, I never go by trade-in, and I also NEVER trade a car in, since I can get much more for it. . .

 

that sounds a little too good... I would run a check on that car and be very carefull... ~$18,000 is what I think the car is worth

 

I reccomend you to go to http://www.carfax.com which tells the history of a vehicle (1st owner, flood damage, salvaged, totaled, etc.) It costs $13 for one report, and $20 for unlimited reports.

 

That does sound a bit low - might be a good deal, but make sure you get it thoroughly checked out first. Also, that stereo isn't necessarily the Bose; my 98 SE has a non-Bose system that also meets that description.

My friend bought a 98 Maxima for $6,000... It was a stolen-Recovery... The dash was gone and the new one was $1,800. So basically, he paid $7,800 for his 98 Max and it runs perfect.
