Porterfield vs. Rabestos Quiet Stops

Porterfield vs. Rabestos Quiet Stops
I currently have Porterfield street pads on the front of my car and will need to replace them soon. They have been great pads, but I'm considering using the Rabestos Quiet Stops as replacements in order to cut down on some of the brake dusting. Will I lose braking power with this switch?

I'm using the Raybestos QS right now. Hell they were only $40 for the front pads. They are the semi-metallics and not the carbon or ceramic versions(I forget which one they have) These were about $60-$80 for the fronts.
I like these cheapie pads. Just about as good as the other semi-metallics(Axxis metalmasters). Good 1st stop performance and decent fade resistance.
I admit, I haven't tried the Porterfields yet.
Dusting is very minimal. Just a little bit more than the rears(which do about nothing in the braking dept)

So the the Quiet Stops aren't ceramic? Thought they were. I'm very pleased with the stopping power of the Porterfields. I don't have antilock brakes, so I need all the help I can get from good pads. The Porterfields have a high coefficient of friction which makes them hit well on the first try....I don't want to lose that, but would love to lose the dust!

Oops. I have the NS not the QS. QS pads are ceramic. Search does wonders!

that and my AE rims look like gun metal after a week of collecting dust. Noticed a improvement in stopping however.
