Does anyone with a '99 have a Harlan Shift Light?
I was playing with my Harlan Rpm Switch to use it as a shift light, but I haven't been able to get it to work. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=126139
Whenever I ground the Rpm Switch the Tach goes dead
I'm wondering if anyone even has a Harlan Shift light on a 1999. I know people who have other shift lights, but maybe the Harlan doesn't work on the '99s for some reason. If it does work, at least I know there some other solution for my problem.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have a shift light, just the harlen window switch, but I can only assume they work the same...
Have you tried hooking the input up to a signal wire going to 1 of the coils and putting the unit in "Coil-per-cylinder" mode? That's what most people do with the harlen products under the hood. Although you will have to run a wire from the engine bay into cabin, it may be worth the extra work.

Yeah I thought about doing that, but since I've already tapped the ECU (in 2 places :P ) I wanted to see if I could keep the wires inside the car. May I ask how you hooked up your window switch? The Harlan products all run off the same board so they should all have the red, black, green, and white wires. If you tapped into the green/white wire on the ECU/gauge cluster then maybe something is wrong with my Harlan
