Questions about tires size.

Was wondering if anyone here has 17" wheels with anything other than 235/45/17 tires? I was thinking of going with 225/50/17 for the sole reason of trying to keep the ride smoother. We have quite bumpy roads around here and that's a fairly big concern.
btw, I'm putting the tires on 17X7 wheels.

part of the ride quality is the tire you choose..I know for a fact some of the 5th gens are running 50 series tires on there 17's.

Try searching in the 5th gen forum

225/50/17 would be a better size for 17X7" wheels... even that might be pushing it for some tires. 235/45/17 definitely too big for 7" wide wheels.

You might also consider 215/50/17.
