Mandrel Or Non Mandrel???

Does a mandrel y-pipe really that much of a difference than a regular y-pipe??? I talked with a guy at budget exhaust and he said that there is a better flow with a mandrel and u will probably get a couple horsepower more. My question is, does it really make that much of a difference??? Will I rea;;y see a difference or should i just get the regular Y-pipe?

Ok but how much HP do you REALLY want?

170 or 175 ?

I have a budget pipe and love it. I honestly think the HP difference is about 3HP with all the bolt ons.

But if you put NOS or a blower, maybe different then.

Just up to you

Mandrel is more efficient and with the y-pipe it is not that much better than regular as long as the curves of the y are right you will still get tons of extra hp over the stock y.

Basically if you have money to blow: Mandrel.... If you're like me, then non-mandrel... Again, i haven't seen dyno proofs that mandrel gives any more fwhp, but my guess is 1HP if any
