B&m Or Pacestter Sts????

SO, I'm looking around and I've decided to purchase a sts for my 97
Maxima. Problem is that Stillen is too expensive. I live in Canada eh, and it will
end up to be like 400 bucks. So, I went to www.custommaxima.com and took a look
at the Pacesetter unit. 68usd is pretty good I think. (About $136 Canadian) I then went to
www.summitracing.com was looking around and it turns out that B&M makes a sts for
the maxima. Non adjustable. Solid construction. Japan made bearing included. That peice is
$140. (Apx $280 Canadian.) Now, I know that the exchange rate sucks and I've heard good
things from custommaxima customers on this board, so I guess my question is...
WHICH ONE DO I BUY?
Has anyone had relability problems with the plastic ball that is on the pacesetter unit??
Has anyone used the b&m one? Please advise a.s.a.p.

Thanks in advance.

Buy this one...

I would recommend the STS from CustomMaxima.com becasue it is tried and true. As far as I know nobody has had problems with the kit. Good luck.

...FWIW, I'm in Canada too, and ordered a Pacesetter STS from Customaxima.com on June 12. I got an e-mail back saying they were temporarily out of stock, but were expecting more later that week.

I phoned Customaxima and was told I'd get an e-mail as soon as it was shipped and that I could expect it 3 business days after that.

Well, here we are three weeks later - and no e-mail. I still haven't seen my STS.

Here's what you can expect to pay:

Shifter $68.00

Shipping $22.50

UPS broker $30.00

Total $120.50US or approx. $186.00CDN

Just my 1.15cents (2cents after taxes)

...INTERESTING - the last time I was at PI@Kennedy Rd.(back in May), they told me that B&M didn't make a STS for the Maxima and they didn't stock Pacesetter.

Perhaps it's time to give Greg a call - (ya snooze, ya loose) - and save myself a few $$$.

I too ordered mine from custommaxima even earlier than you and never recieved it, i cancelled last week because a friend of mine located one for me. every time i called custommaxima though, i was getting told it would come next week, next week, next week... week after week. I dont think he has any idea when he will be getting them and anything he says is coming from his a$$.

140 canadian for the pacesetter unit from Preformance improvements in
toronto... Do they have a web site that I can check out. The local guy up here in edmonton, alberta wants close to 200 for the pacesetter unit, plus "special shipping charges" Sounds like b.s. to me. Any help would be great
thanks in advance
