JWT Intake - who has one?
First of all... please do not flame me for bringing up this topic again. I did a search and found out all the information I could on the Jim Wolf intake. Now I have a question.
Who has a Jim Wolf intake? Is it worth spending the money on it, or should I buy some other intake? Are you happy with your JWT intake?
When I went to custommaxima.com and looked at the JWT intake, it didn't look like much more than just a cone filter. Is it more than that? I don't want it to kill my lower end power.
Also, is the JWT intake on custommaxima.com the "popcharger," or is that something completely different?
BTW, I have a '98 automatic.

if i were, id get a CAI, but if you dont wanna spend that much money, get a hybrid pop charger....its basically the JWT with upper intake....you can get the complete setup off ebay for 100.00$, and is alot more efficient than the JWT...and it also comes with a K+N

I have a 97 auto with the JWT intake... I was definitely worth the 100$ that I paid for it. I didnt notice difference in low end power at all. If anything it gave me more high end... most of all I like the growl that it makes at 3000 rpm's and up.

I just removed mine(JWT) because it seemed to be a bit sluggish for stop and go traffic. After I put my stock air box back in I noticed more punch off the line and I kind of like the quietness a bit better. Over all the JWT gives a little better top end performance but it is loud and sounds like a glass pack rather than the cool intake sounds generated by VTEc honda engines! Maybe a full on tubular CAI would sound cooler, but over all I was not impressed with the JWT, and I might consider selling it if you are interested? I have only had it on the car for about 4-5 months, and I just re oiled it. Keep in mind though that it is signifigantly louder than stock and you give up low end torgue for the high end revs. Just my two cents... In my opinion you should just do suspension and keep the engine stock. It is a great motor without any thing done to it to compromise the reliability of it.. Peace

bought it, happy with it, if I still had my car, I would probably do the hybrid.
And "popcharger" = jwt intake

i have the JWT intake. i have noticed no difference in low end power vs. the k&n panel i had in before. the top end is much more noticeable and doesnt make any noise unless you want it to. i do have a 5-Speed and have heard from auto drivers that just the pop tends to weaken low end power. for the earlier post, the JWT is not just a filter it also has a stack that bolts up to the MAF. for the price the JWT is an excellent buy in my opinion.

Re: JWT Intake - who has one?
I got JWT intake. the difference between this(or the stillen) and the one on ebay is that the JWT has a nicer adaptor (cant see on custommaxima but try maximadriver->how2->stillenintakeinstall), and it's called velocity stack. suppose to give you better flow. it's really quite during normal driving. I like my JWT.

pic of the Stillen setup but the JWT adapater/velocity stack is about the same.
