Raced a DINAN M3....(kinda long)
....yesterday on highway 74 south of Chicago. I was cruising back for the long holoday on the highway at out 75-80 mph when I come up behind this pine green M3 coasting in the left lane. Upon getting getting closer, I spot a silver DINAN badge and crome duel exhaust tips. As I near tail him, he speeds up and pulls over in the right lane to let me by. As he does that, I couldn't help getting up right next to him and drooling at that fine automobile. He was an older man, perhaps in his 60's, with grey hair and a grey beard and a suit hanging in the back. So, when we get eye contact, I shoot him a complimentary nod, look straight and pull ahead with moderate acceleration. Well, wouldn't you guess it, gramps decides to get on my tail and pursue. So, I play with him (rather, he is playing with me!) and get our little bragaid up to 90 mph until a car decides to pull out in the left lane. We slow down back to 70mph, let the car swing back in the right lane only to find a long stretch of highway ahead of us. So I mash the throttle, my intake roars and my exhaust growls and before I know it, I look down and am at 130ish and he is still on my tail. Now, whenever I hit 130, my car likes to take its sweet ol' time to 140. That DINAN chipped bimmer apparently didn't like to take it's time. He pulled in the right lane, slingshotted past me and took off ahead. I mean, the sounds of both our cars were deffining! He must have past me at 150-160! Wow...what a treat to see that...
He slowed down up ahead and I flashed my lights, gave a wave, and defeatedly pulled back into the right lane behind him where I belonged that day.
