Will a 9 width rim fit in the rear wheel well of a 4th Gen?

I want to get rid of the gap between the side fender and the tire. If you notice on almost all maximas, (Especially 2k + 17") The wheels look too thin under the fenders. Mounting a larger width tire will not fix the problem, so wider rims are necesary. BUT.....how much is OK before you start having the wheel flair out of the sides. (UGLY)

Stock 4th gen 15" came in 6.5. the 2k2 maxima 17" are 7. TireRack reccomends 8. but thats still not fluch with the body. ANyone try 9? 10 maybe? DEEP DISH

You can use a 9" wide rim in the back... make sure it is 40mm offset. If it is 35mm with a 245 tire it will rub slightly with the driver/rear fender lip on big bumps.
