Aftermarket stereo squeal

Aftermarket stereo squeal
Hey guys..... I just took my factory Bose deck out and replaced it with a Blaupunkt Casablanca reciever and a Blaupunkt 5 disc changer (they each take up one slot where the Bose was). But, now, whenever the reciever is on, there is a faint high-pitched noise as the RPM's increase. It gets louder and higher pitched along with the RPM's going up. I have no idea how this happened.... has anyone ever had this happen to them? Please let me know..... thanks a lot!

Do you have RCA cables running from your deck to an amp? That may be the cause...interference with them causes noise..I had the same problem as you and it went away when I located a loose connection.

What you are describing sounds to me like ground noise.
Check all of the following:
1) Ground connections for your stereo + amps
2) The RCA cables that run from stereo to amp must not run next to the power wire, if it does, get some really expensive monster cables
3) check for bad wires.

me too
Mien does this also, I have a Alpine HU, hooked up to a pos 1000watt legacy and 10" kenwood 600's, I get the same squealing noise, although I was told by a local car stereo dealer that it is my amp causing feedback. I have noticed it isn't as bad when it is really cold out though. Sometimes it goes away. believe me you will get used to it, I listen to the music so loud i can't hear the squeal
Also did they have to use a bose adapter? they had to for me so that the alpine hu could hook up to the factory bose speakers.

i have a pretty good soundsystem. a pioneer deck pushing 45X4 to internal components and a kicker 2302 pushing close to 800 watts to my 2 12s.. nothing but clean-crisp sound. Make sure u get good cables and they are routed properly. I hate that freakin noise.

I used to get this.
After moving my ground several times and buying a new set of RCA's, it didn't go away.
I put an inline filter I bought at Radio Shack on the RCA's.
Worked perfectly, cost about $15.00
