Lost to Modded Z34 Cavalier

I lost to a Z34 Cavalier last night. Im 100% sure he had extra power boost going into his 5 speed, cause he chirped the tires going into 2nd AND 3rd too. PLus I could hear a schpppppsssssssh sound so Im guessing either NOS or Turbo, plus it also sounded like a nice intake growl and exhaust.

Didnt lose by much, 60 when I backed off I was just at his rear end. My friends were with me though, he had 1 person in his car to my 2 others, smaller car, and what not. If I had my y/catback done as opposed to just having a CAI Im sure I would been at least even with him if not walking all over him.

Nigel, if you read this, look for a black late model z34 and work his ***! LOL

May have been a Z24, but we get requests for Z-34 stickers on Cavaliers quite regularly. Something about these Chevy people makes them want the highest number possible after the Z, even if they don't have the Lumina. We've even done Z-28 on a Cavalier.

Maybe they should just give up and get a 350Z?

My boy has a 5 speed 99 Z-24 cavalier...it has a port and polished 5 angle job race head, full cat back free flowing exhaust, to boyz intake, some sort of modified engine mounts, rsm throttle body, and some other mods...and im almost postive after riding in it a lot @ wot that a 4th gen 5 speed maxima stock can take it out...but if it is equiped with the supercharger kit, then it will be a whole different story.

the monte carlos also came in the z-34 package. but those were slow as hell, i think it was a 16.3 in 1/4mile or something. but anyways those things can be pretty quick, but if your a 5speed he was spraying, if ur auto, just get the y-pipe on and find him again
