hey people
ive got a question about lowering my 2001 maxima
what would be the best way to lower it about an inch and lose the least amount of ride and comfort
i use it as a daily driver and i dont want to ride to be rough at all but im interested in lowering about an inch to 2 inches

Comfort wise, I think the smoothest ride comes with HR's.. I have Maxspeeds, which I love, but I hear HR's are more comfortable. I wanted performance, not comfort. My.02 . There's lots of info on this, if you do a search .

All aftermarket springs are stiffer and lower than OEM springs. Your ride quality will depend on what Shocks/Struts you used with them. I had used AGX, GR2's TOKICOS & OEM in the past and they all ride different, but it's your preference for everyday driving...you decide and like others say, DO A SEARCH..good luck and for those of you who say H & R ride smooth you are NUTTTS. I had H & R before with different shocks and different shocks rides different. MY POINT HERE IS THAT IT'S NOT THE SPRING, IT'S YOUR SHOCKS/STRUTS THAT YOU USE.

I'll go with the maxspeed vote, I have them and I think they are great! You can buy them and have the installed for less than the cost of H&R's or Eibach's alone.

 

H&R springs. No question. Good brand name, reliable warranty. Lower you at least an inch, probably more, with almost no noticable ride comfort difference. Cornering and hnadling are much improved. I couldn't be happier with them. You can get them at tirerack.com... Just be sure if you pay to get them installed you have someone you trust, or if you have the time and tools, do it yourself. dude read again what i wrote above. i'm trying to say you have a smooth ride, because you are using a softer shocks, so it's not the SPRING, it the shocks that you are using. on the other hand if you used the H & R with AGX at the highest settings, HOW IN THE WORLD WOULD H & R STILL RIDE SMOOTH? so my point is the smooth comes from what shocks you are using...not the spring..and by the way i did all this before in the past and that's how i know this OK.so you are still NUTTS

 

Ok, big guy, calm down. Compare apples to apples. Ask a guy with stock 02 SE struts/shocks how his Eibachs ride. Now ask a guy with the same stock 02 SE struts/shocks how his H&R's ride. That is all we are saying.
