Leatherseats.com install

I picked these up from otisw. Two-tone leatherseats.com with SE logo and perforations. Installation was much easier than I expected. Did it by myself in about 4 hours. Only thing I haven't done is the door inserts...because if I screw those up it would go from being nice to ghetto real fast.

Pic here (about 100k per pic).

Pictures here

I was fortunate enough to buy the kit for $400 from a .org member in the for sale forum. Although, there have been a couple of group deals going on in the .org. Install kit is an additional $30 (came with my kit) and is a requirement.

A great mod for the price. I can't compare anything I've done to the car with this (basslink, willwood big brake kit, frankencar, rsb, etc).

I like the look a lot, but it doesn't look as tight as the pictures. It looks a little loose. That two tone definately makes the interior look nicer.

I think that you need to readjust the leather. I was looking through some pictures and saw an example. I think it should look like....

this
instead of...
this

Hopefully it is an easy fix, cause it looks real good compared to stock.

Did you do your install?

Notice the ribbing on the seats goes at a different angle, etc. Totally different seats dude.

That's not my car, just another one that I saw with aftermarket leather. They both look good.

I have no patience for work like that so I asked a good car upholstery place how much to do it and they said 650! Crazy fools. There are 100 shops in town, I'd pay no more than 400 for the 4 hours work it would take. I know I couldn't do it well. Big hands, bad wrist. What prices have you guys seen for install?

I'm telling you...this is a 4-5hr job for 1 person. Where do you live? I would do it for $400!

Just take the plunge. I'm sure you can get some .org folks to help you do it. $400 bucks can buy alot of beer and pizza.

Indeed it can sir. Is there a trick to getting it tight and pro looking? If you screw it up and someone could fix it, that would be alright too. At least there'd be a way to fix it. hehe

My install is looking better after conditioning it and letting it settle. If you blow it, it would still be cheaper to have someone fix it. Its not that hard...honestly.

I like the way the kit has the lighter color on the outside, and darker colored inserts. It never occurred to me to try it that way. Hm...and the perforated stuff looks tight too, like the AE.
