BOSE rattle

I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing rattles coming from the rear deck lid in they're 2002 maximas with the BOSE option. Because mine has a rattle to it that annoys the @uck out of me, and my dealer tells me that they have to determine that its my particular car and not the whole maxima line. They tried to put in a kit to fix it that was designed for the 2000-2001 maximas with no luck, and they claimed to have put some dynomat back there, but I think that dynomat would work a bit better than this.

thanks
john

I just folded up some paper towels and stuffed it into the opening under the deck. No more rattle.

I put some dish washing scrubs (Gheto) in between the rear deck shelf and the back window-the rattling almost stopped.

Hey Newman it took me four days of looking before I realized the same noise your experiencing was coming from the sunglass holder. What kind of CRAPOLA is that??? I don't even bother keeping them in there because the rattle bugs the heck out of me.

Needless to say the damn thing still rattles. South Point Nissan here in Texas told me to turn down the bass settings and that there was nothing they could do. I had it on Zero dB! Despite the engine this car and Nissan is slowly disappointing me more and more.

It is sad

to see that Nissan still hasn't fixed the rattle problem that has been around for years. I mean most companies try and improve the design with each new year.

I had the same issue. Open it up and stretch out the prongy thing so it snaps in tighter. Problem solved.

by deck lid.. what do you mean? Sorry, i'm dumb.

Mine rattles in the trunk.. its not very noticeable inside except on certain notes when the rattling totally drowns out the music. Outside, however, is a totally different story. It reminds me of my old car that I did the stereo in myself. I didn't pay $1100 for a stereo upgrade to hear the trunk rattle around

Hopefully if I ever get time to head to the Infiniti dealership I can get it and a couple other things worked on..
