s02 vs s03 (long)

i've recently got myself a new set of tires because my s-02's have finally worn it's life out. as soon as i got the s02's last spring i was very impressed with the amount of traction it offered. I was taking turns at high speeds, ripping through freeway on and off ramps at speeds my stock tires would never achieve without screeching. Taking my car up into the hills where i used to live always showed me how well bridgestone had engineered thier s02 tires. to make a long story short, i was very happy with the s02's and thoroughly impressed. Now with the s03's i had my hopes up and had actually expected more out of these tires because they are to replace the s02 line up. doing some research i've figured that the rubber compound would be sligtly stiffer than that of the s02's becuase the tread wear rating on the s03's are significantly higher than s02's. These s03's are great tires, however i will have to say, if the main concern is traction, s02's are the way to go. perhaps i haven't ahd enough miles on these new tires to break them in, or maybe they just do not meet my expectations.. If anyone is willing to pay the premium for performance tires, i would strongly recomend s02's and if treadwear is the second most important thing, then i would say go with the s03's they're slightly quieter than the s02's. just letting everyone know my opinion on the tires for what it's worth.
