hooking up bass to bose
I have a 2k SE with bose. I just bought the PD4 and PD2 converter kits. I haven't yet chosen an amp to power my pair of 100watt Aura Bass shakers... but as soon as i do.. i was wondering.. should i run the amp from the rca's in the back of the headunit or from the Bose amp in the trunk (which powers the sub)...?? I know that Nissan has made the bose compensate for distortion by allowing the bass to automatically trim down at higher levels... but i don't want that to happen with the bass shakers. My question is.. how do i prevent the Bass Shakers from trimming down at Higer levels of play.. like my bose sub?

What RCA connections? There is no outputs on the Bose headunit or the Bose amp.
Only way to do this is tapping into the line level wires of the sub on the rear and splice it into a pair of RCAs. Then plug the RCAs into your aftermarket amps. This is the best and cleanest way to do it on the bose.
Other was is where you tap into a speaker level input and then convert it and then run RCA from there to the aftermarket stuff, but the convertor always loses quality.
Goto the audio forum and go to the stickies on how to tap and what wire colors and what not they are on the 5th gen.
