people that have put mt-90 in please answer
imo use either redline fluid or nissan tranny fluid.. i was taught not to use any other MT fluid asides from the factory stuff by my auto instructor. as far as replacing gaskets, i'm not sure how nissan manual tranny's work but if there's a crush ring or any washer on the drain plug, then change that, and to my knowledge that's all that needs to be replaced.

I actually didn't mean to say gasket, but meant to say washer..my bad, it's still early and i'm not thinking straight. So do I need to replace that washer? I only have 3000 miles on my transmission (replaced tranny)

Since the washer isn't crushable and I replaced my tranny fluid at 2500 miles, I saw no reason to change them. I had replacements on hand, but the old ones looked so good, I just put them back on. The fluid will leak out when its full, thats how you know when to stop filling the tranny. There should be no leaks once everything is back on given everything is tightened to spec.

When you changed the tranny fluid did you replace the gaskets or just replace them? Also, did you have any problems with the fluid leaking out?
Thanks

Quick question for you MT-90 people...other than the improved lubricating benfits, are there any discernable changes to the shift action after changing to this fluid? I have known some people over the years with different makes/models of cars and there were mixed impressions. Not sure about it in a Max.
Thanks!
Thanks!
