apexi

dry filter, maintenance free. that's all there is to it, never needs to be cleaned and is totally dry. i have it on my car now since 2k2 maf's are known to be slightly sensitive.

IMO the best air filter on the market is made by BMC. They are used in Formula 1 by Ferrari, Sauber, and Minardi. They also come as stock equipment on the 996 Porsche 911 GT3, Ferrari F50, and McLaren F1.

I agree with you that the apexi is better, not only because it's maintenance-free but also because it filters much better than a K&N. However, the MAFs of 2k2 cars are not any worse than on 2k-2k1 cars according to this poll.

This may explain why my MAF grenaded on my 96 Mazda Protege a long time ago, after using a K&N filter with only 20K's on the car..

HOw long does the APEXI filter last?? i rather get the APEXI if it lasts long enough and won't cause problems with my MAF..

Cause i already have enough headaches iwth my 2k2...

the apexi filters are supposed to be maintenance free for up to 100,000 miles so i assume that they last that long AND you never have to clean it, a vacuum every now and then might not hurt to keep it looking peak.

performance is the same, every cone fitler, just about, will provide you with equal performance gains. while some have oil, no oil, are built better ect is where is all comes into play.
