2000-2001 lights on a 2K2? Is it possible?
2000-2001 lights on a 2K2? Is it possible?
This is the 2nd time in 6 months of having my 2k2 that the headlights were stolen.
I live in Bayside Queens (NYC) and two other cars on my block were hit in the same night within 5 minutes of each other.
The reason I'm posting is I'm wondering if anyone on this board has attempted to put NON-HID (2000-2001) headlights on a 2002. As far as I can tell there is no way to prevent these lights from being stolen.
I have done the following to protect my self, with no luck:
Bolt kit, care of Tim (thanks anyway Tim)
Viper Alarm
X10 Camera for my drive way.
They went right up to the car with crow bars, and pried both headlights out. They were wearing hoods so you can't really see anything on camera.
I heard the alarm going off, and by the time I got down stairs (to my drive way) the theives were gone, with my lights.

BTW, you may want to meet up with this guy in Long Island to EXPRESS your feelings: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....5&pagenumber=1
Sorry by the way, hope insurance covers it!

That totally sucks, man!
If your insurance gives you a brand new set of HIDs and you're serious about swapping out, I have some nice AE lights on my car that I'd love to trade with you! Of course, I'd still owe you some $$, but think about it.
