I am getting a smell from my vents, when I turn on the heat.
Is it dampness? Smells like stale cigarette smoke/bad eggs.
How can I get rid of it?

Make sure you don't have the system set on recirculate. Set it to fresh air and let the fan blow on it's highest setting to see if that gets rid of it. If not, try spraying some lysol into the outside air intakes that are on the bottom of the windshield. The lysol should get rid of any fungus or mildew that might have started growing in there.
