Anyone else BLOWING THRU Wheel Bearings??
Today was my second trip to the dealership for this problem in the past 3 months.
My warranty is up in another 2000 miles.
Hope I don't have to change these everytime I change my oil.
This could get expensive once it's no longer under warranty.

Your statement makes no sense.

if you have a bad ground or no ground going to the engine, the current will try to pass thru things like axles and bearings to get from the chassis to the engine. Thus over a period of time it will ruin them. He might not have this problem, because this takes time, but a very simple thing to check on.

hypothetically speaking, if that's the case then the brakes would have fried, all the wheel bearings would have fried, the drive shafts, transmission, etc., etc..... heck your whole vehicle would be undrivable, since your keyhole, shifter, brake and gas pedal would be "electrically" locked.
Bottom line, an electrical shortage cannot affect a mechanical component such as a bearing (non-driven, free-floating)...
I don't like flaming people, but sometimes when common sense isn't used, you are gonna get it....

1st time it was for the front psgr wheel bearing...
2nd time it was for the rear bearing...
I have stock 2002 GLE's on the car...
And havent gotten an alignment yet, doesnt seem to need one...
I have 33.5k miles on the car...
....and i don't think its a bad ground.

No, no people, its not a total load of crap. Its not applicable to our cars, but some large vechicles, like constuction equipment can have problems with grounding and bearings. Also can happen in aviation where static discharge and lightning strikes can spot weld a bearing race.
And since some tires are still steel belted radials, you can carry current to the ground, can happen with lighting or very high voltages, again with industrial equipment.. but I wouldnt think a max.

We are a large metro dealer and we are not seeing any patterns of this problem. Did the noise go away when they changed the last bearing? Did they change one side or both sides? Please e-mail me at todd@raybrandtnissan.net with the answers to these questions and I will give you more information.
have you had an opportunity to look at the wheel bearings? was the grease dirty? How are the bearings, they look 'tore up'? Did it seize? What's happening?
how do you know it's the wheel bearings?
about the electrical problem blowing wheel bearings... it's probable, but VERY VERY unlikely. His ABS sensors would fry before the wheel bearing...

goto www.motorvate.ca and click on Steering & Suspension, have a look at my wheel bearing.
