base salary, or do I include vesting stock options... it changes my answer significantly.

Stock options don't count. I didn't count mine. Although I estimated my annual commission. Otherwise, I'd be screwed.

Amen, I am well over a $100K but in the SF Bay area with the highest median home costin the US sometimes it feels like we are "just getting by". Do love to drive my Maxima though.

college student
car is mine and i got it myself
i just paid my school tuition, moved out and not onto campus..
i'll admit, my parents are helping me out with tuition a little bit but i'm paying for the apartment and pretty much everything else.
I don't have anything left over but i have just enough to stretch the $ out between paychecks. Summer will be fun time with the car.. for now, i don't think i'll be able to afford any mods for some time. I didn't believe the whole broke *** college student thing, but i never realized how fast money flies out of your wallet when you live on your own

Now how the hell does this thread come back from the dead when no one replied to it? Or was it because someone voted on the poll?

This may sound weird... But be very happy that you guys CAN work.
I feel the same way, even though I know Andy didn't mean anything by it...I'm 22, and it's paid for by myself...
