I drove up to Austin this weekend to visit family. Over the two days I was there I noticed a TON of 5th gens. Especially on the North side (around Pflugerville, and near McNeil/Parmer). I saw probably as many there over the weekend as I do all week here in San Antonio.

Just another bonus to living in S.A., I guess.

BTW, if anyone in those areas saw a Grey Lustre that looked like it had been through a caliche-mudbath -- that was me. I took pictures while I was up there. I'll post them tonight. Maybe I've finally found a name for my car -- StreakMax.

Here are the pics

Sadly, here is what my car currently looks like right now. Every time I get the chance to wash it, it rains the next day, and I don't get another chance for a while. So, who wins on the dirty scale? Me, or that MEXima ( https://maxima.org/forums/showthread...threadid=14421 )?

Thats what you get for buying black...

Mine prolly has the same amount of dirt on it (I have sterling mist), but you can't tell... It's sota hazy on the paint..!!

(PS.. if that's road salt, you should really wash it off as fast as possible!!!)

Well, it's not black. It's Grey Lustre. But, I understand your point.

It's not road salt. It's dust kicked up from the sand they put all over the roads after they iced over several days ago.

It's washed now. That means it will probably rain within the next 2 or 3 days.
