Do you mean because it's not oil based? I don't think you have anything to worry about. The only disanvntage I can see by NOT using an oil based filter, is that you'll be less likely to join the Blown MAF Club.

I think this could be pretty huge for after market intake owners. All things being equal, it seems improper oiling of the filter ia a somewhat common denominator in the blown MAF club. Eliminate that, and I bet we see a lot less problems.
