CD Changer

FYI

Just ordered a nissan stock (made my Clarion) 6 CD changer with the install kit for my '02 Max from Trophy Nissan in Texas (web site www.nissanwholesaleparts.com). Total cost with shipping $202.66. AMAZING! More than 1/2 the list prices and what all other dealers are charging. I spoke with Travis at Trophy and he was extremely helpful and pleasant. You don't get his kind of customer service too often these days. He tells me this is a factory authorized offer and that it's up to the dealership to accept and offer it to customers. Travis and his parts manager immediately added this to their web site. The've earned a customer for life from me!

My dealer couldn't clarify this, but we were unable to find a non-bose system on their lot that had a 'cd changer' control button. Does anyone have this, or does the install kit replace the cd button to read cd/cd-changer?

What's the part number for install kit? I cannot find it.
BTW, is install kit a must? Because I'm not going to install changer in the trunk. If install kit includes all the cables then no luck for me.
Thanks.

I'm not sure about the 2k2 kits, but I ordered the Nissan/Clarion changer for my 2k1 and I also had to order the install kit. The kit included the mounting hardware and the wiring harness. Maybe someone will sell you just the wiring (Crutchfield????) if you don't want to put it in the trunk.

actually, I got that same CV737 2 years ago for less than $250. They do periodically go on sale with the discount dealer parts places. Thats a good price tho.

I was just on the site and it shows 144 dollars? Should I jump on this deal? I mean, is it a good changer to have with the bose system????

its ok. you need a harness and mounting kit for it, hence $200 total

Mine never skips and plays CDRs that arent overburned (less then 74 mins). It plays 80 min CDR media but doesnt like it as much as 74 and can freak out on tracks past 74 mins.
