Maxima Key Fobs are dynamite!!

…Made a big mistake by giving my keys to a friend in the rain, who inturn dropped the keys while stepping on them an sending them into the mud.

We got the keys out an dusted off as much as we could but I left them in my pocket while washing my laundry an the key fob got washed and rinsed for about 30 minutes before I realized what had happened.

I got the key fob out and shook it a few times, thinking that it was really trashed, an pointed it at the car an the darn thing worked.
That was three days ago an it's still working.
…just like a timex!

Sweet! I wonder if I could clean my Vortech by sticking it in the dishwasher!

You have Calsonic Kansei to thank for that.

The key FOB works a little too well as far as there range is concerned.

I went out to eat with a bunch of friends on night and it happend to be pouring rain out. Well when we got to the restaurant, I put my keys in my pocket and sat down for dinner. While in my pocket, some how the unlock button was press long enough to open my front windows up. What a mess.

I had a passat before my Max and you had to almost touch the car with the key FOB and keep your right leg in the air for it to work.

Your sig shocked me at first. "The day I came out(My birthday)" I thought you came out the closet. Day of birth (new lifestyle). I did the math and figured out you are 17. Sorry, I guess my age is starting to show. Didn't think someone so young would own such a nice car. I'm 27 BTW.

I don't OWN the car. My parents do. The thing is, I am obsessed with it and I love it. They let me drive it though. I better change my sig pic just in case of other people..

This happens all the time at home with my trunk lid. I wish they had put a "lock" switch... like on mp3 players.... to prevent the accidental pressing of buttons while the remote is in your pocket. I hate going out in the morning to find out that my trunk has been open all night.
