Install guide for SE tails?

First, before anyone jumps on me, I did a search. I didn't find much except for some reference to an install guide on 5thgenmaxima.com. I can't find that site and seem to remember it's gone bye-bye. Or maybe I have the wrong URL.

So, I have a 2K GXE and I've got SE tails ready to go in (thanks Dave B). But I'm not sure how to get at them.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Mike

1. pull back the gray trunk lining

2. unscrew the screws (i think there was 5 on each light)

3. unplug the bulb and wire

4. if you don't have access to a hair dryer to heat up the rear of the light inside the trunk(NOT THE FRONT), then have another person pull on the light as you push on the light ---(once all of the screws are out)

5. put the sticky black stuff that will get all over you clothes around the gutter of the new light (should be in the box with the lights) you will only need to use one box of it since it stretches really nicely

6. stick it in the car WITHOUT getting the sticky black stuff on your paint....it is horrendously hard to get off

7. screw on the screws

8. admire you work and go and do the other side

there should be a write -up on the install ,cuz i used it when i did mine.
but here is what you do:

1. pull back the trunk lining.
2. remove the bulb plugs(wire harness)
3. remove the nuts holding on the fixture. (3) i believe
4. get a hair dryer and heat up around the outside of the fixture from the inside of the trunk.
5. push from the inside w/all your might to pop out the fixture
6. remove most of the black goop around the hole.
7. put new black goop around new fixture and install it reverse the way you took it out.

easy install... easier w/ hair dryer.
i did it w/out it and it was like pushing a 300 lb woman out of bed.

hope this helps.
