Need 12 volts

How can I get the lighter socket (in the dash or behind the console) to stay alive after pulling the key? Basically, I bought a solar panel to keep the battery charged when I leave the car in the lot for months at a time (unfortunately, I travel too much) -- it's got a lighter adapter.

Any mods for this? TIA

Find a constant power wire and run it to the center console. I think the constant power near the fuse box is orange/white. Get out your voltmeter to make sure though. And might wanna throw an extra fuse in there right after you tap it so that you don't come home to a smoldering pile of metal and ash.
