Buying 2k Max From Dealer Tomorrow

HI,
I AM BUYING A 2K MAXIMA SE TOMORROW - AUTO, SUNROOF, NO LEATHER, 28 K MILES - MINT CONDITION FROM THE BAY RIDGE NISSAN DEALER - WE MADE A DEAL FOR AROUND $18,500 - GOOD DEAL OR NOT ? IT WILL COME OUT TO AROUND 20 k ... WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

I personally do not think it is a good deal. I bought my loaded 2k in June of 01' for 18,500. You could probably find a 02' for just about 20-21k.

No way should you take that deal. Look around autotrader and classifieds for a better deal on a 2k2. That's way too much for a 2K.

$18.5K, no leather no Bose. I'd say the dealer is making a killing of you. I have a 2K, Bose, fully loaded, leather, comfort & convenience, fully loaded. I'd be lucky to get $15K for it, it has 58K on it. Not only is it a three year old car, but, you'll have to replace the rotors(all of them), factor that into the cost of the car. I'd say you should pass too or negotiate a better price. If the car was a local trade-in, the dealer probably has no more than $15k in it, so he may end up making a killing on you. BTW, Hertz regularly sells 2k2 SEs with auto, no leather or Bose with ~20k for $18-18.5k.

Here we go again! Bay Ridge Nissan to the RIPOFF!!!
Bridgemax, do not take any of the comments te wrong way, the guys here are 100% right. Why not add another 2-3 thousand and have a brand new car with 3 year warranty instead? More importantly, the car you are about to buy is just not worth that money??
Why don't you go to an auction anyway? I am sure you can get the same car for around $15-16K.

Before you do that, buy mine

Equipped with everything you said above except my six has 11.6k miles. Bought late 09.2000.

Cared for by me and a knowledge base backed by the .org. Can't beat that, not even with quantity of the bull**** that is churned out by nissan service dept.
