Help: Removing PS belt on 2K2 and installing UDP

How do you loosen the belt on the power steering? I have what appears to be the adjustment screw/bolt loose but the pump is still tight on the belt. Is there another bolt that needs to be loosened?

Loosen the bolt on the pulley first (If it will even budge now)

Here's a good writeup...

Once the pulley bolt is loose, go about the normal procedure for removing both drive belts. To summarize, remove the large belt by loosening the idler pulley bolt and then loosening the upper bolt to raise the idler pulley. Next, lower the power steering pump and remove the smaller belt. This procedure is also outlined very well in the shop manual. This was not easy, even for Shawn, which is why I recommend a pro for this
job. The difficulty is in the placement of the bolts for the power steering pump, which are difficult to reach. Small hands, a universal, and a LIFT make this a lot easier.
This is the instructions given. It really doesn't tell you what bolts to losen. I have what appears to be the PS tensioner bolt loose but the belt is still tight. Guess I need the shop manual.

Thanks!

There are three bolts that need to be loosened on the power steering belt tensioner.

I can see a lock bolt that apparently holds the tensioner screw and a bolt on the back side of the PS that appears the only way to get to is to remove the rear precat. You can see the end of this back side bolt from the front side of the PS pulley. Is this the three? What a pain!

I don't know about removing the precat. He had to use like 5 extensions on the ratchet and an elbow for it. Thank God I had 2k2_6spd to do it.

I got the bolt loose! Yea! Strange you just mentioned "5 extensions", I did have to use two swivels and a supper long extension. It does come loose fair easily if you use this method. I'll finish this job up in the morning. Thanks to both of you for your help.

What? I just dont know the abbreivations. I know what under drive pulley is if it is all spelled out. you can quiz me if you have doubts that i don't know anything about my car. I think I know more than the average 20year old know about their cars. quiz me! if you don't then dont doubt my knowledge. I might not know all the technical stuff, but enough to get by.
