Running wire from cabin to battery

Ok so I got my subs and amp wired to the deck and all I need to know now are two things:

1. Where is there a good place to wire the ground?
2. Where is the hole to take the power wire (4 gauge) from the driver seat to the battery under the hood?

I do not want to drill any holes for the power wire and I've been told that there has to be one that is already present for everything else in the car.

Thanks!

this post isnt going to help u but i tried numerous amounts of times to find the special hole and still ended up empty handed. had to get out the drill set for my 2k1 and had the audio shop do my wiring in the 2k2. i know that they still drilled a hole. its the easiest way to run the wires IMO.

I believe if youdo a search, you'll find a rubber plug behind the pedals.

I just did it last sunday. U take off the plastic wheel well on the front driver side and there is a rubber boot with wires running through it just cut a hole in that. It comes out a little bit above and to the left of the pedals if u are sitting in the drivers seat. That is how I did mine, worked fine(2k max).

Just went through this yesterday reinstalling my radar detector (third Max third time). Remove the driver’s side wheel and remove the plastic pins and two of the screws (and the mud flaps if you haven’t already) this will allow you to fold the liner out of the way by hooking it on the strut spring. Ask your local electrician or home theater installer for a two foot long piece of 1/8” fish tape, spray a small amount of silicone on tape (cut the end of the fish tape at an angle (sharp), now pass the tape in along the hood release cable rubber boot. Inside the car remove the sill trim and the drivers kick panel, then pull the corner of the carper back. Leave the carpet pad in place as it’s easer to get a divorce the get that thing to budge, now push and twist the tape through the carpet liner. I always put a small dab of silicone on tip of the boot to prevent any water intrusion. Hope that helps.

What about grounding the amp? Are there any ideal grounding screws in the trunk?

Maybe it's different in 2k2/2k3, but you don't have to make that hole, that passthrough comes out in the cabin in the very corner, behind all that plastic by the dead pedal. Someone here posted a pic of it once, might try search...
