It's not so much as the song or the ad but the blatant attempt at "updating" the pre-2k2 ad by editing the video half-hazardly to make the car look like a 2k2 that's bothering me.

I agree with Soundmike. The "updating" of the Maxima to make it look newer bugs me too. They also shortened the ad from the original one in 2001. Oh, and the song name is Tom's Diner...great, now it's stuck in my head now...
