My first serious kill...serious as in 'da

redneck was ****ed' not as in 'with a serious car'!

Yesterday early afternoon I'm driving to my friendly neighborhood no-touch car wash (cause it's getting COLD here in the mornings)...driving alone, sunroof open, listening to a way cool 'Phil Collins greatest hits' CD my better half got me for my birthday...ya know, minding my own biz and wound up almost getting run over -but I got even.

I'm driving on four-lane with a few traffic lights...I'm in the right lane 'cause I need to turn right in a bit..a light catches me so I stop #1 at the TL. 100 yards past the intersection the left lane is blocked off with cones for some road work. Just cones, no other equipment there yet.

A Cherokee driven by an older gentleman pulls up on my left at the TL but what the heck..I'm in a good mood so no problem. Then a redneck in a Ram pickup -big wheels, big bumper guard, you know the type- pulls up behind the Cherokee. The light turns green and being a nice guy I let the Cherokee accelerate to cut in front of me, giving him reasonable space. The redneck in the pickup sees that I'm being nice and guns it to get to within 10 feet of the rear bumper of the Cherokee and cut me off as well, -never mind that as close as I was to the right rear of the Cherokee, there was just now way he had any kind of space to do this without sending me off into the boonies

So I say to myself 'fluck you', increase my rate of acceleration somewhat and get to the point where my front door is abeam his front wheels, fully expecting that the guy would get the message that he needs to slot himself behind me. I shift into 2nd and THE GUY JUST KEEPS ACCELERATING & trying to move ahead!

By now we're 30 yeads from the cones, the cherokee is not factor so I just nailed it and started pulling ahead and THE GUY IS STILL THERE, slowly hanging back a bit but still there. Finally he realizes that a) Im not quitting and b) my car is slowly pulling away but he realizes this too late, has to slam on the brakes, takes out a couple cones which go flying and swerves into my lane maybe five feet behind me.

Them the fun really started: one past the 'coned' section he swerved out from behind me onto the left lane and passed me and sure as shinola, as soon as he's slightly ahead of him he taps his brakes and swerves HARD over towards me, but I was ready: I had stayed in 2nd gear and when I saw him starting to swerve to hit/block/scare me I tapped the brakes hard with my left foot, then when he actually started the left-to-right transition (big tires scrubbing and squealing) in front of me, I immediately cut to the left lane HARD while NAILING it at about 4500 RPMs in second gear.

The idiot redneck was so caught out that by the time he had corrected his left-to-right swerve & transitioned his foot from braking to accelerating, I was already even with him & pulling away, looking at him thru my passenger window, laughing like hell and giving him the finger thru the open sunroof!

He was so flustered he was smashing the wheel with his fist, yelling and screaming...funny!!

The next TL was a very busy intersection & there were now two cars between us and looking back I could still see him gesturing & yelling inside his cab. I was in the right lane because I needed to turn there but when the light turned green I activated my LEFT signal light and accelerated slowly...giving the impression that I'm preparing to cut HIM off. So, he bullies himself into the left lane, when I see he's there I instantly switched to my right signal lights & turned right at the corner, by then he was completely blocked & could not follow me -which warranted another bird thru the sunroof...he he he

I have not done anything like this in years but....this guy deserved it, methinks...

You aren't from Reno are you? Seems like one half of the population here drives a monster truck with redneck trash on the windows, and the rest of drive with common sense.

wow this is really safe.

I would just let the other guy go, I don't care. It doesn't make me any less of a man (considering I am 17) but still.

Yes, I personally have a strong hatred towards those who drive the lifted Ford F350 HUGE WHITE TRUCKS! I was driving on a 2 lane northbound road which then merges to a one lane, I am even with this White F350 and since we were going exactly the speed limit and he was in the fast lane, I decided to gun it so that I would be in front of him, because I hate sitting behind someone driving slowly. I indicate that I am going to switch into his lane with my blinker and then out of nowhere I hear the HUGE engine of that truck running with WOT and I see him approaching in my blind spot with about 10 meters to the merge point and then he continued to barrel past me running me OFF THE ROAD and almost into a ditch which was about 20 feet from the side of the road. I looked in my mirror for any nearby police officers so that they could take care of the dirty work for me, even though I essentially passed on the right-but we started off even, and it was clear, so I took matters into my own hands. He pulled into a shopping center, and when he saw me coming he rolled down his window and started screaming and throwing **** on my car. Starts off by running me onto the road, and then throwing stuff on my max?! I had no more patience nor toleration for this guy, I floored it passed him and got in front of him and tapped my brakes. He then got the closest I had ever seen a car get to me without hitting me. Keep in mind this truck was lifted like no other so the only thing i could see was his suspension and FORD license plate in the front. I then pulled the other way in the parking lot and watched his truck over every other car in the lot, as it was massive, and when he parked I road by, rolled down my window, noticed that this guy was quite a bit smaller than I am and yelled out 'do you think you are a badass with that POS truck and your Hick family backrounds? Quit trying to impress your hoe' His disgusting girlfriend yelled something as I drove by.

I can't stand drivers with those HUGE ford trucks, they are suck d!ks.

One thing I just noticed is that every driver my friend and I have gotten into a confrontation with, has driven an SUV or Truck except one. My friend has the ML320, and as a 16-year-old driver, he gets alot of **** for having a Mercedes. Only one non-suv or truck driver has given us **** and it was some group of 2 couples in a Chevy Malibu making fun of him for driving a Mercedes 'mom-van' i think they called it. The driver didn't know I could hear him, as the subs inside his car makes it hard to hear, but i turned em down a bit and listened. We then got into a little discussion with them about how his Chevy Malibu cost about as much as the Mercedes mirror on my friends car, and then we pulled away. We never act spoiled unless we are made fun of first.

Take it from a former NHP..... if you are caught with another driver (in Nevada) engaging in mutual road-rage, despite cause, both parties will receive reckless driving citations, and lose their license for 30 days minimum.

It takes less energy to merge behind another vehicle, then to try and pass (especially on the right), no matter how slow that vehicle is, it's not worth a fine, demerit, lost license, or anything else.

This 17 year old doesn't own the maxima (look at my profile) but I soon will own a maxima of my own! or a SE-R (spec v of course). Depends on my cash flow.

I think that is his dad's.

I on the other hand am 16 and I have a maxima. My parents pay for it though but I have to pay my insanely high insurance rates.

I am almost the exact opposite. I have to pay for the car but they will help me out with the insurance. You have crazy insurance rates?? I live in NJ! I am going to get murdered with insurance here when I get my car.

I think females who drive SUVs should get the highest insurance possible, not teen guys.

Olin...not to be picky but had I been caught

I could have simply stated that my swerve to the left (the only obvious manouver I made) was accident avoidance as the guy was swerving onto my lane...the incident with the the flying cones was a) the truck and b) happened behind me.

Dont get me wrong...I know it was not exactly a smart thing to on my part but I was not the one demostrating the road rage -not by long shot -unless the ossifer had also observed my flying finger...
