A/C filter

I have a 02 Max GLE with the auto temp control.
I no that there is a replaceable air filter for
the climate control system. It states to replace
or wash it every year or 12,000 miles.
Is it possible to not use the filter?
All it does is filter out dust and particles.

2) It keeps the inside of your car cleaner.
3) It keeps your lungs cleaner.

If you want dust, pollen, and any other air born crap blowing at you from your HVAC system, then by all means, just cut the filter media out of the frame and put it back in.
