2002+ JMS grill

Does anyone else besides newman have it? My car is grey lustre and
i am deciding what color to go with. Any opinions? I think either color would look good, but some pics of the silver color would be nice.

thanks

SE,
I sent you a PM back.

Newman,
I am still having problems with my upper grill, how did Jay install yours??? Mine just does not want to seem to fit right! (Lower grill finally in place and looks sweet!)

hmm thats really strange. im not quite sure what to tell you. only thing i can think of is that jay bent the top edge downward a little bit. i feel like it should still fit though.

I talked to Jay this morning, he says try again by fitting top end in first and pulling the rest out as necessary so I'll try that again this weekend.

When I was experimenting with it I like the 1/2" better but the problem is you can see to much behind the grill. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to maybe hide the brace and the horn behind the grill without restricting air flow??

Maybe something from Home Depot? I dont know.

maybe lay a layer of gutter mesh on the inside side of the JMS grill and then attatch it? know what im trying to say? take the JMS grill, put it on the floor (outter side on the floor and inner side facing up) and then put a layer of gutter mesh cut to the same general shape as the JMS grill and put that on top of it on the inner side. connect the 2 then connect them to the car.

Thanks, I'll try that. Should I spray it black? Will that mesh stuff hold paint? Can I get it in black you think? Im not to knowledgable when it comes to cars but do you think that will damage anything performance or otherwise on the car because of the restricted airflow (thats the only thing Im afraid of.)

im not sure about the painting and colors. whatever color you think would hide the stuff on the inside but not take away from the look of the grill on the outside.

the airflow wont be that restricted. you dont have to worry about that. just make sure whatever you use is a mesh that air can pass through,. nothing solid like a sheet of plastic.
