No, not RSTB (rear strut tower brace)... RSB (rear sway bar). The choice is Addco or Stillen (more expensive). Springs and struts/shocks will also help in handling, but coilovers are the best (and expensive).

I got an Addco from Cattman for Christmas. Still waiting for it to be delivered so I can't tell you about it's performance. I've heard Stillen's are a little better but I just can't stand to think about giving money to them after all the stuff I've heard about them on here. plus I like the cheaper price

For suspension
get the FSTB first
then get the rear sway bar
then get some springs or coilovers
you can get ground control coilovers from groundcontrol.com
they are 400 bucks according the the Oklahoma people
that is what i am going to get
after that you can buy a rstb but it doesn't help much

Who has GC coilovers on their car? Are they any good? I don't want to lower my car a ton, but will the GC last longer than say tokicos and Eibach setup? I want to spend my money in the best way possible for around $500, so Koni's are out, and I was just wondering how the GC hold up.

Oh and I am correct that they are one piece and extra struts aren't needed right? If they are then tell me I am a dumb ***, and I'll just get the set-up I was planning on.

I'd suggest you contact Phuong regarding the Stillen RSB. He can be reached at gr_racing@yahoo.com. And his prices are consistently better than Stillen's.

Re: Got a price

It's better than Stillen's price. I think he mentioned they just raised their prices.

That really sucks that Stillen increased their prices. I really believe Stillen is increasing prices because they are viewing other manufacturers are not creating products for the Maxima as they are. So why not raise the prices since they have an monopoly on the Maxima market.

Quoted by Andy x167; April 2000

2000 Maxima/ Front Strut Tower Brace, Part#3007035 $179.00
2000 Maxima/ Rear Strut Tower Brace, Part#307540 $164.00
2000 Maxima/ Eibach Springs, $235.00
2000 Maxima/ 4" Tip, Reverse Cone Exhaust, Part#508140 $553.00
2000 Maxima/ Hi-Flow Intake, $169.00

All prices above quoted without tax or shipping.

I suggest you go back and negoitate the pricing from my quote. I'm giving you the ammo to bring down the pricing to what they had it at earlier. If not, why buy from them if they don't.

I'd get the rear sway bar as the 1st suspension mod. It probably does more to change the handling of the car for the price than anything else. The FSTB does improve things but it's not earth shattering.
