Say goodby to your Max...
This is totally screwed up. I have also seen that tool that breaks the "Club" and "Brake Boot". Why not just give crooks a copy of our keys?
Portable Lock Pick!
Open almost anything with this versatile lock pick. If you've lost your keys, or locked them in the car, the Kwick Pick can save the day!
This locksmith-in-a-pocket fits comfortably in your hand, and opens everything from padlocks to file cabinets, from desk drawers to toolboxes, from luggage to gas caps. It even opens some car doors and front door locks.

Thankfully, 5th gens come with an ignition immobilizer which makes it virtually impossible to steal the car (short of towing it away).

These lock picks do not work as easily as they make it sound. Lock pick sets have been around for a long time, this one won't work any better. Why do you think crooks use crowbars or smash windows to get into your car?
maxi, that's one of the few bad things about living in Cali. The list of good reasons goes on and on!

Rest assured that picking a lock is not that easy. I used to be a locksmith, working with my Dad who was also a locksmith, as I worked my way through college (many years ago).
The first thing I learned is that some locks just cannot be picked. Locks that take a double sided key, for example, are virtually impossible to pick. And I've never known anyone who has successfully picked a lock of a modern car door or ignition. Those spring loaded keyhole shields in GM cars also preclude picking. Other well made locks have pick proof pins which also makes picking impossible. Yes, locks for desks, cabinets, and most padlocks are easy, but it still takes some training and practice.
I still have my own set of picking tools and am called to perform this service once in a while in the office. But I have to be careful lest someone accuses me of theft.
