2002 with 00-01 headlights

It really sucks; In my opinion the second best improvement between those years was the standard HIDs (first being 3.5 Liter engine of course) and people can't even enjoy them. Saw a beautiful blue one today, and when I wanted to look at the nice headlights, saw the older, less attractive ones. Any other 2002 Max's put the older headlights in your car because they were robbed?

I'm surprised I haven't seen it yet. If, God forbid, my HID's were ever stolen, I'd probably replace them with the AE headlights.

Are you sure it wasn't a 00-01 with the 2k2 taillights.

That's really lame for that person that they had to put the 2000 headlights in. Must be another victim of theft. That sucks for them. It really makes me nervous about dropping a grand to pick up the HID's for my MAx.

actually.... what probably really happened is much worse. You could have seen the one or two people who have actually downgraded after multiple theft... -OR- you could have seen one of the hundreds of maximas that got hit on the lots and the dealer put in older lights to save money. (at cost) $750+ vs $175-ish. What do you think dealers would do? I just hope the owners catch it if they are..

Tim has a point. Honestly, someone like my dad wouldn't know what HIDs are. Dealers can easily play them off

Doesn't your insurance pay for the replacement of the lights? I guess if you deductible is high...
