What size is the Bose sub in the 2k SE?

I searched, but didn't find an answer. I am thinking of changing out my speakers and was curious of the size of the sub.

Thanks

I am also going to do this, but for me, I have the non-bose system from the factory, and they didnt use the center rear dash for a speaker, but if you look at it in the trunk, the hole is there for an 8inch speaker. All I am gonna do is add a powered 8inch there...use it off the stock system...which is good enuff for me...Just add a bit of low end is all it needs.

make sure you go with a free-air 8", or you could build an enclosure underneath the deck to seal the sub airspace.

You think it should be sealed off from the trunk? I thought leaving the back of the speaker open to the trunk (ALWAYS empty in my case) would help the sound...

it depends on the sub you get. free-air subs are made to be run in a setup like i think you want to do (like the stock bose sub)

8" however, my Free-air Pioneer 8" did not fit in there. You might have to cut that metal piece a bit, if your sub is a "wide"

I'll probably just cut a piece of MDF & replace the metal piece with it. Also, the Bose sub does not run on 4-Ohm... Read some of the stickies & audio-forum posts for more info.
