use 3/4" MDF on the box. everything else can be thinner. i'd not sure about the plexi thickness, but it has to be thick enough not to flex.

i was working on a false floor with fiberglass, with everything enclosed inside the false floor. i finished it almost, but i didn't like the extra weight it put on the car. (i was using a 15")

yep 3/4" MDF is the way to go... thats what mine is made of,
the stuff is strong!!!!

for the glue, use Liquid Nails @ The home depot, good stuff

as for plexy..well, its expensive, so just get what u think is good. I got 1/4" for me, but thats just for the amp rack, for a box, i would recommend 1/2", but its not cheap!

probably no less than 1/2" of plexi. 1/4 is way too thin to match up with 3/4 mdf. for some ideas check my setup out. i was thinking of the plexi on the back of the box for when you open the trunk, but it didn't materialize. good luck.

<~~~~~~

just throw some LEDs everywhere with neons =]

those are good materials,
oh, also, there is a spray made by 3M, there is a red and a green bottle, its glue for sticking the carpet to the box, works wonders!

I live in Baltimore and long wanted to do this type of setup. If you ever going to do it, give me a holler, I might roll up with IGOR911 and we'll do it.
