3M Cleargaurd paint & headlight protection

Hey memebers. Just wanted to know the pros and cons of having this on a 5th gen maxima (or any vehicle). To those who have this product installed on their vehicle can you give me an update on how it's holding up. I'm thinking of purchasing the whole 3M Clearguard kit for my 2k3 maxima, but before i do i want to hear some feedback about this product. Any help will be appreciated. Thanx.

dude..

1. do a search. some of us had already replied to questions like this. (not flaming or yelling at ya, just informing ya)

2. I had this done on my car and I am VERY happy. I think I paid too much for the installation but I wasn't going to do this on my own. I'm a lazy bastard when it comes to stuff like this, so I paid someone to do it. Its holding up very well. The protection I got was the front of the car, hood, and mirrors (i think the mirrors were a waste but for $15/pair, why the hell not). The next part I want done is my rear bumper, but he want's $150 installed. I think thats a bit steep. I'll shop around before going to this guy again. But yes, its holding up well...

We had it done on the TL-S and it looked great (Pearl White car)-held up very well...had it on a little less than a year before the car was traded. It was immediately put on the G35 (black)- lights, bumper, 21" up the hood, both mirros, the underside of the door handles to keep fingernails from scratching the car, and the body between the front windshield and the sunroof. Looks good- no complaints to date (been on since May). Had an awesome guy put it on- took FOREVER, but it was well worth it.

Had it installed on hood, mirrors, headlights and driving lights. Expensive but worth it. I agree that the mirrors are a waste. They came with the hood install. Been on for almost a year and holding up great.

Andrew,Max00,2k1seae: Thanx for replying to the post along with info regarding the 3M Cleargaurd paint & Headlight protection. Yeah i'm considering this since i live out in the New England area where the weather sucks the majority of the time and i hate the look of chipping paint from rocks, pebbles etc. Anyone know any trustworthy shops that do the install. I'm CT. So any shops within the CT area. Anyone else who has any info about the 3M Cleargaurd please post your review on this product. Thanx...

The Acura dealer installed the 3M Scotchcal Clear Bra
when I purchased my Type-S. I am happy with it because
I don't have any rock chips yet.

Just ordered my XPEL hood kit through their site on Wednesday, received it on Friday, and installed it on Saturday. Great product, easy to install, and I highly recommend it if you have a need for speed, (or a nissan )

I had the "Deluxe Kit-hood, bumper, front lip, forward edges of front fenders", along with the door cups and top flat part of rear bumper, put on last week by an installer here in Houston. Although it does leave a small part of the panels exposed since the film does not curl under the edge of the panels, it still covers 98% of the exposed areas. With more than 50 chips in the paint before the car was repainted 3 months ago, was not going to take any chances this time. Well worth the money so far.
