Dent in corner of rear bumper

The corner part of our rear bumpers is not very strong. Some guy bumped me lightly right on the corner. Now looks like someone with a big fist punched the corner of my bumper

Can the rear bumper be heated and can the dent be pushed/molded out? Then sanded/painted etc.

Is the unpainted bumper white or black?

I had the same problem on the front (and no one elses insurance to claim). I am still getting around to having teh whole bumper cover replaced.

From what I have been told, if the material is intact (i.e. NO rips, tears, or gouges all the way through the bumper cover) it can usually be repaired. If not, they toss it and get a new one.

The unpainted bumper you get from the factory is black. I know because I had to get one painted. you can get one for 210.00 from any dealer
