How high do you tach in normal driving?
How high do you tach in normal driving?
Hi,
I was wondering how high you tach your car when you are accelerating under normal conditions in everyday driving. I go up to about 2.5-3K rpm in all gears except 1st. Please don't tell me you redline it each and every chance you get.

usually around 3k to 3.5k in first, then 3k after that... does best for gas mileage.
Then 6.5k when it's time for fun!

4-5K, I often shift 1-2-5 or 1-3-5. You know the guy you see run away from everyon at the light, that's me! Ain't no fun being the second in line comming on to the highway.
It is TRULY amazing how little gas the Max can consume when you keep it below 3.5-4K. I recently got it below the magic 10L / 100KM (+-23 MPG) with my new snows that I was taking car of.
