Brake Difference between 2000 and 2002

My Maxima went back from it's lease a few month ago. I just sold my old 15" winter tires and steel wheels to a buddy. He's got the 2002 with the 3.5l engine. For some reason the 15" don't fit on the front. Did Nissan enlarge the caliper on the 3.5l engine models? Hence a reason as to why my wheels won't fit his car?

Rotors are bigger. Caliper mounts were moved to accomodate the bigger rotor.
