just degreased my engine, i like
i was a bit apprehensive about shooting water into my engine bay, but after asking a couple of mechanics i decided it should be ok. i removed the cone filter and taped up the maf and disconnected the battery.
after that i went to town with some degreaser. following a 15 minute wait, i hosed the heck out of it. man, i knew my engine was dusty and all, but what a bunch of crap on there! i see tubes and hoses i forgot were even there. looks nice and clean now. i won't hesitate to reach in there with a white shirt on anymore.
no problems. went for a drive and let the engine dry it off. i can smell some degreaser thru my hvac, but i assume it'll go away with time.

I've used CD-2 a few times and the 2nd step uses a clear finish that makes all hoses look new. It lasts a few weeks, and I believe that is what Dealers use to prep a used car for sale. I used to get it at target but they don't carry it anymore. Do a search and you will get more info on how it works. I have some pics from the last time I used it, if you want I can post or e-mail to you... Good stuff!!!!
