My Buddy has a 2000 celica GTS, and I have driven it several times. The way I drive makes it zoom, as I em a lazy shifter who likes to use every gear. What Im wondering is what the outcome of a race would be with my Maxima.

Numbers are so close, so i beleive it would depend on the driver. Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

SE 5 spds will win with a good driver in there. U R right about the numbers bieng so close. On short races you have to get a good start and hold it throughout. On a long race, the max will hand the celica its rear end.

i raced one stock up to 90mph in slight traffic and kept pulling away, they have to be kept at high rpm's to get maximum power.

Ive only had one encounter with a GTS, and it was a very close race. Stock to stock, its neck and neck. The one I raced at the track ran 94.56 mph, which was the same as my mph on that run. I only won the race by 0.05 sec. On the top end, they start walking us big time. I had a 3 car lead at the 1/8 mile point, that had completely disappeared at the traps.
