i took my car in around 20,000 to have the tires rotated and balanced. when i got it back, alignment was all wrong. (steering wheel needed to be 1/4 to the left to go straight) when i took it back in they told me that the tie rods were bent, which is BS because it was like that right off the lot. i argued and talked to management, but they insisted they were bent and that it was (conveniently)not covered under warranty. i got a second opinion from a local tire alignment person and I also looked at the rods myself. THEY WERE FINE. I would get a second opinion man because unless you hit an enormous pot hole or ran into a curb or something, your rods are fine. if you do decide to get them replaced, i would make a mark on one of them and check to make sure they were in fact replaced and not just aligned. For your reference, they quoted $480.

well..mine is fully covered under the warranty. About a week ago, there's some strange clicking noise started coming up fron the front end. Could especially hear it when driving at low speeds on some parking lot with sterring wheel turned about 20 degrees to the left. I took the car in to the dealership, I replicated the prob for tech, and new parts have been ordered...
